I am thoroughly impressed and convinced by Magician Akash, who is son of Jadugar Anand, who performed excellently in all the risky items.

 

I got astonished when he performed FIRE ESCAPE at Chandrashekhar Nair Stadium; I got impressed when I observed him doing Blind fold Bike ride and truly speaking, I have become great fan of Akash, after observing him performing the most risky feat “Under Water Escape”. Through this article. I would like to praise the guts, efforts and sincere dedication of Mr. Akash, his father Mr. Anand and their team.

 

Jadugar Anand along with his son Akash and his troupe is touring Thiruvananthapuram these days. Their tour started on 21st Sept.

  

On 21st Sept : Akash performed Fire Escape show at Chandershekhar Nair Stadium Thiruvananthapuram. The show was scheduled at 4 PM. Stadium was largely crowded. A hay enclosure almost 15 feet high was built in the center of the stadium ground. Akash was tied up with 25 chains and 25 locks. It was impossible for him to move. These locks were checked by onlookers and some VIP guests. Soon he was lifted up by a crane and dropped in the hay enclosure. The hay enclosure was set on fire from all the sides. Fire spereaded quickly. We all were waiting for Akash to come out. Within 40 - 45 seconds he came out of that burning hay stack. The crew member rushed towards him to cover him with a blanket. He came out unhurt. It was an amazing show.

 

On 24th Sept. : Blindfolded motorbike ride was happened next which was also performed by Akash on the streets of Thiruvananthapuram. Before starting the ride he was blindfolded by a piece of cardboard, cotton and plaster of paris cut in the shape of an eye glass – held together with a band of black cloth wrapped over. Before starting, a hood was placed over Akash's face. Volunteers were riding along with blindfolded Akash. Everyone was amazed from the way Akash was taking correct turns and curves. He even adjusted speed and applied brakes to avoid potholes and collision with other vehicles. This ride was done to spread message to public that when blindfolded riders can navigate safely on busy roads, why should accidents take place during normal driving. This feat of his had combination of tricks, meditation and concentration.

 

On 26th Sept: Karthika Thirunal was the venue for the Inaugural show of Jadugar Anand. It was back to back magic show. Expectation and curiosity of people raised after the Akash's Fire escape and Blindfolded ride stunt show. Many VIP's attended the show like Vijaya Kumar(sports, youth, port, etc.), Forest and housing minister Binoy Visham, two ADGP's, Trivandrum IG, Trivandrum Commissioner, Director of Health Services and lot of other guys. A large number of media personnel were also present there to cover the show. There were many new items which added thrill and excitement to the show. One of the finest of these was the television panel from which people emerge and get into, slow motion vanishing of Statue of Liberty, Floating of one of the ADGP's daughter in the air, Elephant appearance on an empty stage, cutting of an assistant magically transformation of appreciation letter from Forest Minister to Mr. Anand into his resignation letter and also donating his entire property to Magician Anand. All the kids present there enjoyed the most as the show transported them to another world.

 

On 1 Oct : It was the biggest event of the tour THE UNDERWATER ESCAPE. It was a life risking stunt. Seven out of ten attempts fail in this Escape. It was his second attempt. First was at Hyderabad was first attempt after 40 years (last time his father attempted successfully) where he created a world record for exiting in just 15 seconds. It was held at Vizhinjam Harbour. Kovalam MLA George Mercier, Southern Range IG Arun Kumar Sinha, Police Commissioner Revatha Chandershekhar, ICGS Vizhinjam CO PK Mishra, Vizhinjam Panchayat President Latha Sugathan etc were among VIP guests. Akash was handcuffed by an MLA. He double checked the locks. Akash then sat in bag which was tied and sealed by commissioner. This bag carrying Akash was dropped in a wooden box. The box was then lowered down into water by a crane. The crane boarded a large boat so that box is dropped in a deeper side of sea. Box was submerged into the sea. Many motorboats were roaming in the sea filled with media person so that they can have best snaps of the Akash as he surfaced out of the water. Everybody present there was eagerly waiting for Akash to come out specially Magician Anand as he father. As few minutes passed we saw Akash swimming across the sea towards a boat. Boat brought him to the jetty. As he was progressing towards jetty he gave quick interviews to journalists on the boat. The box was also brought from the water. It was in one piece and when opened all the locks and chains were as it is. Akash was the only one thing that was missing from the box. It was a mesmerizing show that I will remember all my life.

 

Currently there magic shows are going on at Karthika Thirunal hall. It is worth watching their magic shows. MAGIC CONTINUES!

 

I hope, I would get one more opportunity to see them performing.

 

Magic is art to make you believe what is not real or not virtual. And to make you believe that,is not an easy task. People who do this job with ease are true magician. Two of such great magicians are Jadugar Anand and his son Akash. They are currently performing their shows in Thiruvananthpuram.
                I attended their inaugural show on 26th sept at Karthika Thirunal.It was houseful show coz of stunt shows Akash performed before inaugural show so the expectations and curiosity of people raised. First stunt of Akash was on 21 sept.He performed Fire Escape show. He exited a burning hay stack in just 45 second(his body was chained and locked). Second stunt of Akash was for a social cause for safe driving. He mananged to drive a bike blindfolded without any collisions and hassels.
                  Now coming back to his inaugural show, it was attended by many VIPs inculding two ministere - Vijaya kumar(sports, youth, port, etc.), Forest and housing minister Binoy Visham, two ADGP's, Trivandrum IG, Trivandrum Commisioner, Director of Health Services and lot of other guys. Media from almost every entity present too.
                They were many tricks performed like slow motion vanishing of Statue of Liberty, Floating of one of the ADGP's daughter in the air, Elephant appearance on an empty stage, cutting of an assistant, exit and entry of character from a running TV screen but the highlight of the show was the appreciation from Forest Minister which magically transformed into a letter of resignation and the minister had also donated all his property to Mr. Anand!. Everybody was so thirlled after watching all the above magic tricks.
                Now I am waiting for Akash's Underwater Escape to be held at Vizhinjam Harbour on 1st Oct. Underwater Escape will be the most daring stunt to be performed by Akash. Failure rate of the Underwater Escape is seven out of ten. He will be trying very hard to avoid failure as his life is at risk.He last performed this stunt in Hyderabad. It was the first perfomance done in the last 40 years. Best of Luck Akash!.  

This show is incredible! I watch and I truely appreciate the great performanc of Akash  one of the great magician ever of this absolutely fabulous show!

Today on 26th Sep 2008 fabulous inaugural show at Karthik Thirunal, Trivandrum. Packed hall. Two minister-Vijay Kumar (sport, youth, port, etc.) and Forest & Housing Minister Binoy Vishwam. Two ADGPs, Trivandrum IG, Trivandrum Commissioner, Director of Health Service, and a lot of other guys. Every media entity was present too. Our Fire Escape seems to have won them over. We expect unprecedented coverage tomorrow. Show was taken exceptionally well by all present. Mr Anand also got a letter of appreciation from Forest Minister which magically transformed into a letter of resignation whereby, the minister had also donated all his property to Mr. Anand!
The Under Water Escape will be atThe Vizhinjam Harbour on the 1st Oct 2008, at around 11 am. So dont forget to see him performing this stunt.

Everybody can listen the increased heart beat of each other. They all were eagerly waiting for Akash to come out. It all happened on 1st Oct at Vizhinjam Harbour Thiruvananthpuram. Akash was performing his Underwater Escape show. Harbour was crowded. Many VIP guests were also present there including Kovalam MLA George Mercier, Southern Range IG Arun Kumar Sinha, Police Commissioner Revatha Chandershekhar, ICGS Vizhinjam CO PK Mishra, Vizhinjam Panchayat President Latha Sugathan etc. MLA handcuffed Akash and locked him with chains all over body. A large crowd to media was also present. Than Akash sat in a bag which was tied and sealed. Bag was dropped in a wooden box. This box was locked and tied with chains and ropes. A crane picked that box. Crane travelled about 100 meters into sea surface with the help of large boat. Box was dropped into the sea having depth of 150 feet. Meanwhile many motorboats carrying media personnel were moving around in the water. We saw Akash swimming towards a rubber boat. This all happened within few seconds. Akash reached the boat and waved towards the spectators. He was supposed to be taken close to audience but boat was not starting up. Suddenly Akash jumped and swimmed towards other boat. He reached land and media personnel surrounded him for interviews. Everyone present there was cheering Akash. Box in which Akash was locked was brought and was opened. All the chains and locks were present as they were not touched. Box was in one piece. Every thing was as it was. Only Akash was missing from the box. Akash was busy with handshakes, photos. interviews etc. I was thinking what a man he is?    

As the heat was piling up as the moment became closer and closer. Whole city was just waiting to witness akash heart throbing under water escape. It was so crowded that i was assuming myself to be in a local train which is totally vacuum packed. The people were driving crazy even to get the glimpse of the famous magician akash. To cherish the moment their were many guests like Kovalam MLA George Mercier.Southern Range IG Arun Kumar Sinha, Police Commissioner Revatha Chandrashekhar,ICGS Vizhinjam CO PK Mishra, Vizhinjam Panchayat President Latha Sugathan and Others. When akash started to initialize his stunt fully handcuffed and chained and was checked by the MLA himself. Then in a gentle attire he waved to us in a humble gesture to thank the crowd for coming here. To encourage him their was heavy roar of crowd to support him . The crowd withstanding the hot and humid climate of kerala. Then the moment came that we were waiting for akash was put into a bag and sealed by the police commissioner was taken in the box and the box was properly chained and locked and with the help of a crane the box was dropped in the indian ocean. Within fraction of seconds akash freed himself from the box.when the box was brought we saw right from the handcuffs chains,locks were intact as if nobody was inside it. Well i was totally flattered by his risky but made flawless by the great magician akash.

I touring kerala from last week. On 24th Sept I was in in Thiruvananthpuram capital city of Kerala. I was leaving Thiruvananthpuram. I had evening flight. So I just thought of buying some gifts for my loved ones. While I was on the roads of the city I saw a young man driving a bike blindfolded. It was Jadugar Anand's son Akash. His eyes were covered with a piece or cardboard, cotton and plaster of paris cut in the shape of an eye glass – held together with a band of black cloth wrapped over. A hood was also placed over his face. His crew members or say volunteers were following him. He was driving so smoothly without any hindrance. He managed to adjust brakes and speed to avoid any potholes and not even collided with any other vehicle. He taking right turns like he knew where to turn and where to drive straight. I thought if blindfolded Akash can drive so correctly why can't we people having vision can drive without any accidents.

Enclosed by the mountains of the eastern and the western ghats on either side and the Arabian sea to one end, it truly has a wealth of natural beauty. 

 On 21 Sep 2008 ,Sunday my friend  Anamika call me on my mobile and told me that she have two tickets of the Stunting Feat  at  Chandrashekhar Nair Stadium, I was really not interested in feat  but  she forced me to give a company for this, So I got agreed and At 3 PM we left our home for Chandrashekhar Nair Stadium where the show was to take place. The show was to start at 4 PM. We reached there at time. It was unfamiliar rush at the stadium. Akash came and his crew members started tying him  not one or two locks, but 45  locks. These locks were checked by many onlookers ,journalists and guests. Akash was held up by a crane and was put inside the hay enclosure. Soon the hay enclosure was turned into burning hay enclosure. Everybody was waiting for the Akash's exit. Akash smashed himself out through the hay, without any chains attached into waiting blanket spread out by crew members. It all happened in just 40 - 45 seconds.

Wow! what a stunt that was and what a Sunday entertainment I had and i thanks my friend Anamika to bring me here, and after watch this the great stunt of Great Magician Akash my feeling changed for Stunting feat.
